This 5-week class will offer beginners an introduction into oil painting. Topics covered will include basic color theory, color contrast and attributes (such as harmony, psychology mood, etc), composition, surfaces: wood, canvas, etc. and how to prep them, painting techniques, acrylic and oil mediums, and painting history (impressionism, expressionism, realism, modern art). More advanced painters will receive individualized instruction.
